PHYSICAL
THERAPY

Having worked in a variety of clinical settings, Carrie is skilled at working with individuals throughout the life spectrum. She works with students as a school-based physical therapist treating a wide range of developmental and gross-motor disorders. She has worked extensively in Senior Living Communities rolling out bladder incontinence programs, heart failure management programs and falls prevention programs. She is certified as a LSVT BIG Parkinson’s Disease program provider, and is licensed to conduct this unique, trade-marked program for those suffering from Parkinson’s Disease.
 

Carrie uses the healing properties of water to provide aquatic physical therapy to people of all ages, and utilizes the language of yoga and mindfulness to help motivate and treat chronic pain and movement disorders in her patients. With a blend of routine exercise and yoga asanas to strengthen, stretch and stabilize knees, hips, shoulders and the spine, she achieves outstanding clinical outcomes.
 

A Direct Access physical therapy license enables Dr. Burger to evaluate and treat without a physician referral for 30 days within the state of Pennsylvania. Carried Away Physical Therapy and Yoga LLC does not accept insurance reimbursement. Services are billed at a flat hourly rate and payment by Venmo,
Paypal or credit card is accepted. If you select Carried Away Physical Therapy and Yoga for your physical
therapy needs, you will receive the highest quality of compassionate care along with a unique approach
to your rehabilitation.

Adult Physical Therapy

Having worked extensively in Senior Living communities, Carrie has rolled out bladder incontinence programs, heart failure management programs and falls prevention programs.  With a background in out-patient orthopedic physical therapy, she is able to treat most ankle, knee, hip, back, shoulder and elbow impairments. 

Pediatric Physical Therapy

Carrie is an independent contractor with Pediatric Therapeutic Services to support students in school districts within Montgomery County, PA. She is a school-based physical therapist, and currently works with students in the Spring-Ford Area School District. She treats a wide range of developmental and gross-motor disorders including autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, intellectual disability, and OHI (other health impaired) diagnoses.   

LSVT BIG® & BIG for LIFE® Parkinson’s Disease Program

Carrie is certified as a LSVT BIG® and BIG for LIFE® Parkinson’s Disease program provider, and is able to conduct this unique, trade-marked program for those suffering from Parkinson’s Disease.  LSVT BIG® requires a commitment of one-hour long therapy appointments four days a week for four weeks, with the willingness to perform a home exercise regime to attain the maximum benefit from the program.

Aquatic Physical Therapy

Using the healing properties of water, Carrie provides aquatic physical therapy to people of all ages and utilizes the language of yoga and mindfulness to help motivate and treat chronic pain and movement disorders in her patients.  With a blend of routine exercise and yoga asanas to strengthen, stretch and stabilize knees, hips, shoulders and the spine, Carrie achieves outstanding clinical outcomes in the privacy of her client’s own pool.
